Overview
The Skyspecs app helps users track and manage turbine repairs on the go, with features that allow them to view work orders, complete tasks, and document each step. The app was redesigned with updated screens and workflows, and new components were created for the global library to ensure consistency in future updates.
Process
Research was conducted to understand user needs and pain points, ensuring the designs addressed real-world challenges. One of the main challenges was managing complex user journeys and optimising workflows, particularly when handling intricate features and data-heavy interfaces. Another challenge was balancing innovative design solutions with the technical limitations of the platform.
Results
Collaboration with the development team ensured a balance between design vision and technical feasibility, resulting in wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. Existing designs were iterated based on user feedback, optimising workflows and ensuring usability across devices. Complex user flows were streamlined by reducing unnecessary steps, making tasks more intuitive and efficient. Data-heavy interfaces were optimised to facilitate easier navigation and understanding of complex information.
