Brand Identity

2 Months
Overview
A family-run game shop in Oxford, offering a diverse selection of modern, traditional, and vintage games and puzzles. This project centred on revitalising the brand identity to better capture the shop’s fun, welcoming, and nostalgic atmosphere. The redesign aimed to enhance visual appeal, infusing it with vibrancy and playfulness while preserving a strong connection to its rich gaming heritage.
Process
The process began with a thorough exploration of the brand, the client’s vision, and their target audience. Multiple iterations were developed, from defining foundational elements like colours and logos to designing products such as tote bags, puzzle boxes, and gift cards. A key challenge was integrating the client’s requested red hue, striking a balance to ensure it added vibrancy without overpowering the overall branding.
Results
The challenge of integrating the client’s requested red hue was met by carefully balancing its intensity to complement rather than dominate the design. The final brand identity exuded a playful, dynamic essence, seamlessly blending the shop’s modern and vintage offerings.
