Horizon Finance is a specialised cloud-based SaaS financial asset management platform designed specifically for the renewable energy sector. The project aimed to streamline processes across various project stages, focusing on improving efficiency in navigation and enhancing user engagement. Key objectives included simplifying complex workflows, optimising user interactions, and ensuring seamless integration between different platform features.

Process

The responsibility was to revamp and modernise the product component library, focusing on both design and functionality. New requests for components and screen designs were received weekly, requiring quick turnarounds. A key challenge was understanding user journeys and optimising experiences, particularly when dealing with complex data, such as tables, which required careful attention to clarity and usability.

Results

Close collaboration with the development team ensured design updates were technically feasible. User feedback drove changes, addressing pain points while maintaining consistency. Regular updates to the component library made design changes efficient, reducing time spent on tasks and preserving product coherence.
